Kjalar received as a 5 year old 1. prize for conformation and just under 1.prize for talents. His gaits show good extension with medium lift. He always has clear Tolt, fluid Trot, powerful Pace with big movements and shows good speed range and nice carriage in all gaits. He is tall with elegant conformation and throws his size and conformation very strongly to his offspring, along with his natural Tolt and the great temperament. There is no trained offspring yet but we think they all look very promising.
His parents are both outstanding horses - the 1. prize sire is famous as one of the most popular breeding stallions in Germany; he is out of the legendary Ofeigur 882 fra Flugumyri. Hilmir has proven himself already as a young stallion, producing a number of prize horses. The Ofeigur line has produced many horses that have great work ethics and are superior gaedingur. The mother is evaluated 1. prize with a high percentage of 1. and 2. prize offspring. Kjalar is friendly, and unafraid, in nature. He has a high energy level with impressive stamina and a never-give-up attitude.

Kjalar will add size, natural Tolt abilities, willingness and good Temperament. He is an especially good choice for Mares of any Gait abilities that show a lack of Stamina or Willingness and/or a lack of calm or friendly Temperament. With his Gait distribution he could improve Tolt and add Flying Pace in Fourgaiters as well as securing natural Tolt and good Trot in Fivegaiters. His leg quality and hooves are outstanding.
