Breed Demonstration
Icelandic Horse Demonstration at Wild Rose Icelandic Horse Farm. We will be providing lots of information on the history of the Icelandic horse along with demonstrations of the gaits of riding horses and also competition horses. We will also have a quick demonstration of the desired conformation of the Icelandic horse with the aid of a first prize horse, a demonstration of the natural gaits in young horses and a chance for everyone to try tolt on our lesson horses. 3-Day Riding with Awareness Clinic with Connected Riding on Icelandic Horses
Teacher: Mandy Pretty
Three days riding Icelandic horses or your own horse. This clinic offers a positive, stress-free opportunity to learn about Icelandic horses. We will be focusing on Connected Riding and integrate these skills to improve the gaits, recognize correct horse & rider biomechanics, and find harmony with your horse. Riders will have the opportunity to ride different horses and we will introduce groundwork for improving flexibility and suppleness; as well as TTouch bodywork. This clinic is not suited for brand new riders (call us if you are not sure) and you will be riding 1-2 times per day. We will only be accepting 6 participants to ensure personal attention. Lunches included.

6-Day TTEAM Connect - Foundations for TTouch and Connected Riding on Icelandic Horses

In depth hands-on workshop that focuses on equine posture and its links to behaviour and performance on the ground and under saddle. This course explores the TTouch and TTEAM observational skills, body work and ground exercises with a variety of Icelandic horses. This clinic also includes Connected Riding and groundwork to improve lateral flexibility and function, as well as correcting biomechanics and posture for riders. In addition principles of ground driving, free-work, and the use of TTEAM equipment including the body wrap and balance rein will be covered. Open to outside horses or use one of ours. Lunches included.

Ken and I are very pleased to host a third 3 day riding clinic with Sigrún Brynjarsdottir. The date will be June 29-July 1, 2012 at our farm located
between Carleton Place and Almonte. The cost of the clinic will be $100 US/person/day, plus Sigrún’s traveling expenses in $US and rentals
divided between the number of participants. Final cost depends on the currency exchange rate close to the time of the clinic. I will forward a
registration form to those that are interested in attending either as a participant or an auditor. We ask for a non-refundable $200 deposit to reserve

6-Day Starting Young Horses with Tellington TTouch

Participants will have the opportunity to take a young Icelandic horse through the steps of being started under saddle using the biomechanically functional, low stress, and educational techniques of the Tellington TTouch (TTEAM) Method. This clinic also includes working with young Icelandic foals at their mothers' side, weanlings, and older unhandled horses. The course is open for people to bring their own young horse of any breed. This clinic counts towards becoming a Practitioner. Lunches included.
