CIHF National Insurance Program
“Enhancing the value of membership”

  • Automatic coverage for all federation members.
  • Every member automatically has $5,000,000 liability insurance covering lawsuits arising from the ownership of horses.
  • Savings on special insurance products developed for members.
  • Farm-Care is a property and liability package for equine owners that addresses our special concerns.  It is available at reduced pricing to members through the group purchasing power of the federation.
  • Equi-Care is an equine mortality package for horses of special importance or value to members.  It offers many enhancing options and is also group priced for federation members.

The CIHF has endorsed Capri Insurance in Western Canada and Intercity Insurance in Eastern Canada to administer these insurance benefits.  You are invited to call them if you need information or assistance with any insurance questions.

Please see attached Information Update for 2006.

You are NOT required to join your provincial equestrian association in order to be insured.    Please read attached file for further explanation.
